¨       Orthoboric acid, also known as boracic acid or H3BO3, is a weak acid that is commonly used as an antiseptic, insecticide, and flame retardant. Its solubility in water increases with temperature.

¨       At 4°C, orthoboric acid is only 2.6% soluble in water. However, as the temperature increases, its solubility in water also increases. At 17°C, orthoboric acid is approximately 27% soluble in water.
