Aqueous solution of borax above 62°C gives crystals of________________?

A. Na2B4O7.4H2O
B. Na2B4O7.5H2O
C. Na2B4O7.2H2O
D. Na2B4O7.1H2O

¨       When the aqueous solution of borax is heated above 62°C, it loses water molecules and crystallizes into a new hydrate form, known as borax pentahydrate, with the chemical formula Na2B4O7·5H2O. This new hydrate form is also commonly used in industrial and household applications, such as in the manufacture of fiberglass, ceramics, and soaps.
